One Woman’s Research On Obama

Friends, this is every important, please take the time to read it.

This election has me very worried.  So many things to consider.  About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than.  I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another.  I must say this drives my husband crazy.  But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with.  About six months ago, I started thinking ‘where did the money come from for Obama’.  I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight.  We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama’s life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California.  He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. ‘Barry’ (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.  During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a ’round the world’ trip.  Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate’s family, then off to Africa to visit his father’s family.  My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college.  When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York.  It is at this time he  wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry.  Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia?  It’s not cheap! to say the least.  Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year.  Why Chicago?  Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

By ‘chance’  he met Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago.  Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year.  Rezko, was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Decade’ by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association‘.  About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School.  Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School?  Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?  After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down.  But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what?  They represented ‘Rezar’ which Rezko’s firm.  Rezko was one of Obama’s first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.  In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with ‘seed money’  for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).  With ALL those Student Loans – Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased.  Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President.  Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss.  She is now Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.  Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here?  Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was ‘sacked’ after the press found out he was having regular contacts with ‘Hamas’, which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran.  This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will ‘Take care of things’.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those small’ Internet campaign contributions for Obama.  Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country?  Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news.  On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on ‘This Week’ with George Stephanapoulos.  Obama on talking about his religion said, ‘My Muslim faith’.  When questioned, ‘he made a mistake’.  Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line.  If you would like to check it – Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times – Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times – September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question – If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven’t all of our ‘intelligent’ members of the press been reporting this?

Why I’m Voting Democrat

I’m voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I’m voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I’m voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they’re doing because they now think we’re good people.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will  rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years  if I don’t start driving a Prius.

I’m voting Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don’t have to hide from us over there, they will come over here and I don’t want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I’m voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I’ve decided to marry my horse.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15%  isn’t.

Makes ya wonder why anyone would EVER vote Democrat, now doesn’t it?

Outer Continental Shelf Energy Is Key To Reducing Support For Foreign Terrorists, Group Says

Amendment In Congress This Week Would Also Help Reduce Gasoline Prices

LAKEWOOD, Co. (June 10, 2008) — Congress can strike a blow against foreign terror groups by opening up America’s Outer Continental Shelf to energy development, thereby reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil and cutting the indirect funding of terror groups by nations that sell us their oil.

“Tapping America’s huge reserve of deep ocean energy helps us fight terrorism and increases our domestic energy supply, which will help put downward pressure on gasoline prices,” said Greg Schnacke, President of Americans for American Energy, a national grassroots group that promotes greater domestic energy production and less reliance on foreign energy.

Schnacke called on Members of Congress to support an amendment to be offered in a Congressional committee tomorrow by U.S. Rep. John Peterson (R-PA) to lift the current moratorium on energy development in the Outer Continental Shelf areas.

“America’s deep ocean energy reserves are estimated to hold more than 600 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas resources and 100 billion barrels of oil,” Schnacke said.  “That’s enough natural gas to heat 100 million homes and enough oil to replace Middle East imports for decades.”

“With Americans suffering at the gas pump and with higher energy bills, it’s a no-brainer that the OCS should be developed,” Schnacke said. “The technology exists to harvest this oil and natural gas in an environmental sound manner, and Congress needs to move forward and lift the anti-consumer roadblocks they have erected to this American energy.

The Peterson amendment would overturn a provision in a 1981 appropriations bill that established the current offshore leasing moratorium on energy exploration and production.

Schnacke noted that more than 80 percent of the oil and natural gas resources on the OCS are off-limits to exploration and production due to Congressional and other actions. But they are not off-limits to other countries, as Cuba has agreements with China and others that allow drilling only 50 miles from the coast of Florida. Cuba is taking advantage of a 1977 treaty that divided the Florida Straits to preserve each country’s economic rights.

“These are federal lands,” said Schnacke. “It’s amazing to me that other countries can reap the benefits of these resources just off our coasts, but we can’t,” Schnacke said.. “Our share of these resources belong to the American people and the American people need them. Higher energy costs are taking a toll on our economy and our hard-working families. They’re leading to higher costs for everything. Without access to the vast oil and gas resources of the Outer Continental Shelf, our domestic energy production will decline and costs will continue to increase. Our nation and our people can’t afford that.”

The Peterson amendment would allow states to opt into allowing drilling between 25 miles and 50 miles off their coasts. Between 50 and 100 miles, states would have to pass legislation to block drilling. Beyond 100 miles, drilling would be allowed.  Peterson and others in Congress have said opening the OCS is key to increasing the domestic energy supply and helping keep prices in check.

“In a period of time, we won’t compete in the global economy,” Peterson said of the economic damage to Americans of higher energy costs. “We have the potential to become a second-rate nation.”

“Americans for American Energy has strong convictions regarding the need for this nation to develop and sustain a multi-dimensional federal energy policy,” Schnacke said. “Only through such a commitment can we assure our long-term national security and economic vitality.  Developing new supplies of oil and natural gas in America is essential to economic growth and to our nation’s energy security.”

Yet Another Example of how Washington Screws Us on Oil Development

Americans for American Energy is a good site to monitor the state of our domestic energy development. The following press release is yet another example of the politicians in Washington working against the interests of the American people and specifically for the special interest groups. This has got to stop or we’ll never gain our energy independence from our enemy’s.

Western Legislators Condemn Sen. Salazar For Trying To Block Oil Shale, Natural Gas Development In The West

Salazar effort ‘will directly help foreign terror groups,’ charges one Western legislator

DENVER, Co. (June 9, 2008) – While consumers battle $4-a-gallon gas prices, a single U.S. Senator is trying to block America from developing oil shale, an American resource that could single-handedly end America’s dependence on expensive foreign oil.

Colorado’s Ken Salazar (D) is reportedly trying to use the U.S. Defense Authorization Bill to put oil shale development in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming on permanent hold by blocking commercial oil shale leasing on public lands.

Salazar also plans to use the Defense Authorization bill to block the efficient development of an estimated nine trillion cubic feet of clean-burning natural gas in the U.S. Naval Oil Shale Reserve, located in Western Colorado.  That gas is enough to heat four million homes for 20 years.

“I fear that Ken Salazar has been misled by environmental extremists who don’t seem to care about seeing America come more energy independent,” said Wyoming State Senator Bill Vasey (D), Board Chairman of Americans for American Energy (AAE).  “The leaders of some of these groups actually want consumers to get hit with higher prices, because they believe that this is the only way to force people to conserve.  That’s not right.  We should be looking to increase the supply of American energy for America, which will help reduce the upward pressure on prices.”

“The U.S. Defense Authorization bill is not the place to be adding amendments that restrict the domestic energy production that our Armed Forces need,” Vasey added.  “This flies directly in the face of the reason for the creation of the U.S. Naval Oil Shale Reserves in the first place.”

“If Ken Salazar succeeds, consumers from coast-to-coast will end up getting two black eyes,” said Colorado State Senator Bill Cadman, a member of the Board of AAE.  “I can’t understand how anyone would hamstring America from becoming more energy independent at a time when prices are soaring.  This is simply inexcusable.”

“Blocking oil shale development from proceeding and bottling up natural gas in the Naval Oil Shale Reserve helps America’s enemies and will put more money directly into the pockets of terrorist groups that are trying to kill Americans right now,” said Utah State Representative Aaron Tilton.  “It’s just that simple.  This man is aiding and abetting the sworn enemies of our nation.  Whose side is he on?”

“We have American troops in harm’s way right now in part to defend America’s access to foreign oil, and to stabilize a situation in the Middle East that is in effect creating higher and higher fuel prices here at home,” said Utah State Representative Mike Noel (R).  “Using a defense bill to block responsible development of over a trillion barrels of oil from oil shale is not only wrong but it is exactly the kind of crackpot ideas the folks have come to expect from the out-of-touch Washington, D.C., crowd.

“The defense bill is about defending America, not making us more dependent on foreign oil and in effect weaker. Senator Salazar and every member of Congress should be rolling up their sleeves and looking at ways to tap into the 200 years of oil resources located within the boundaries of the United States, which makes us stronger as a nation.”

The Department of Defense Authorization Bill is expected to be called up Senate action as early as this week, according to Congressional sources.

Salazar championed action in Congress last year to place a commercial leasing moratorium for oil shale development, effectively stopping all meaningful research and development activity by private industry due to lack of commercial development potential.

Regarding the Naval Oil Shale Reserve, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management has adopted the most restrictive Resource Management Plan in its history, taking nearly seven years since Congress directed the agency to lease the NOSR for responsible oil and gas development.  Blocking leasing of the area could cost the federal government over $1 billion in lost lease bonus revenue and billions of dollars more over the life of the project in lost royalties.

Windfall Tax on Retirement Accounts Just Another Hoax

Retracted…

Last week my father sent me an email regarding a Windfall Tax on Retirement accounts being proposed by Nancy Pelosi. It made me pretty mad so I wrote about it here on my blog. Unfortunately, and uncommon for me, I published my blog without checking on the validity of the email. Since it already said that it was checked against snopes.com I made the mistake of trusting it. Well, after the fact, I decided to Google it to see what was up since I hadn’t seen anything about it elsewhere in the news. My suspicion was confirmed when I found that even snopes.com listed it as false and an urban legend as well as many other sites. I apologize for jumping on that bandwagon and I’ll make sure to check the source in the future.

You can read what snopes.com has to say about the hoax here.

Insanity in Washington – Windfall Tax on Retirement Income!

If the reckless Marxist/Socialist Democrats controlling Congress get what they want, we may never get to retire! Didn’t we work hard for our retirement dollars????

Windfall Tax on Retirement Income

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you’re so stupid that we’re going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. This is in addition to their proposal to add a windfall profit tax on the oil companies, small business profits, and a recent proposal to nationalize the oil industry. How disconnected from reality are these people? Who will actually stand up now and take credit for electing these socialists into office. Do they even have a clue???

You have got to read this…..

House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income. In other words tax what you have made by investing after-tax dollars toward your retirement. You aren’t going to believe this. Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas, it is true – all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities! This woman is frightening. She says, and I quote…

“We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.” ( I am not rich, are you) How in hell will that help anything? Don’t they realize that this country was built by the risk takers, the investors, not the Big Fat Government?

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied, and this is a direct quote from Pelosi…

“We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. (why?) For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. (why?) Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans’.” (so could the salaries of the fat-ass drunks and stupidly perverted politicians in Washington)

Read that quote again and again and let it sink in. Lower your retirement and give it to others, others that are not even American citizens, who have not worked as you have for it. How about immediately deporting the 12 million illegal aliens and giving the jobs they do to the other minorities that are in such need of our retirement income? How about cutting the size of government and redistributing the savings from that? Why does every STUPID thing they come up with have to come out of our pockets? This is absolute socialist insanity.
